The Federal Republics basic political authority is theoretically divided into two distinct and clearly divided centres of power the State Governments and the Federal Executive.

the State Governments numbering 6 in all are similarly structured to they're Federal superior dividing itself into a Legislative senate and an executive central authority in the form of the State Governor. while the majority of Legislative Authority rests solely in the Hands of the Federal Government the State Senates do have complete dominion over they're own internal administrative affairs including but not limited to Education, Welfare, Transport, Utilities, Regional Administration and civil defence.

The Federal executive is in theory dominated by the Legislative branch which consists of 1 elected representative per 50000 citizens and holds the majority of the law making power within the Federal Republic, they primarily deal in matters of Foreign Affairs, National Defence, National integration, Protecting Corporations from restrictive Regulation and preventing conflict between the states. In practice this is not the case however, the majority of both political, Legislative and Legal Authority in Iratis is held firmly by the office of the First Consul, although the degree to which they exercise this authority or delegate to the Congress is up to their soul digression.

There are also a number of subservient Federal authority's between the Federal and State level including but not limited to the Judiciary, The Staff office, the Joint Chiefs, the Corporate Commission and the Federal Railway Authority.

The People’s Republic of the New Vanguard is an Esoteric Cult dedicated to venerating the teaching of the beloved Chairman Mao in the belief that only by fulfilling his causing will he return to them. The state is led by the Communist Party of Vanguard under the wisdom of its Supreme Chairman and Dear Leader. The Party promotes an extreme form of democratic centralism and all decisions must be rooting in the teachings of Chairman Mao. After the Great Schism of 1976 the leaders of the New Vanguard movement realised that Democracy even at its most basic level was what had caused the revisionists to attempt to tear down the Chairman’s will. Therefore all ruling decisions come solely from the Central Committee whose composition is decided by the Supreme Chairman based on their ideological conformity. Membership of the Party is mandatory and all members must adhere to the decisions of the Central Committee as if they were the commands of Chairman Mao himself. The states sole ideology is that of Mao Zedong thought and any deviation from this is treated as revisionism and is severely punished.

The People’s Republic is extremely centralised with local law making outlawed as being too likely for wreckers to originate. Individual freedoms are practically non-existent. The State Security apparatus is all knowing and all powerful. All citizens understand that by adhering to the Chairman’s political teachings, their lives will have meaning. The state is violently secular with Religion being completely outlawed.

The economy is centrally planned with extreme taxation on the ultra-wealthy to fund the nations extensive welfare grid which the People understand as being a reward for their determination to fulfil the Chairman’s wishes.

The arms industry ran by the state is of paramount importance and the People’s Vanguard Army is treated with reverence for its deference towards Chairman Mao. Extreme conscription is in place to deter the capitalist beasts that seek to bring the chains back to the proletariat and the peasants.

In foreign affairs, the New Vanguard is fiercely nationalistic and bound by ideology. All those who do not adhere to true Maoism are revisionists and therefore unworthy of its attention. However it lacks a desire for aggressive expansion for its true goal is to achieve a Maoist utopia in the belief that only once his vision is fulfilled will its Dear Chairman return to them.
